no one and I mean no one, has ever explained to me how Natal might be used in an FPS. Seems like Bungie is sticking to what gamers know best. Smart move imho.
but if he's trying to decide between one or the other (both no brainers for me - but he's short on funds) then I say rent - even if for a 7 days a piece, he will be able to get a good taste of both to make a sound decision.
in 2016 and let's see where we are. Nintendo is winning the sales war in great part, due to the simplicity of it's sales model alone. I love simplicity in most things, but ((personally)) wish they would've gone further out on the limb, in regard to HD capabilities.

Simply completing this game on Elite is a trial by fire imho. I am with Rico against Radec, alone in Visari's Palace so far and all I have to do is kill him and it will be done. I have stepped away from the game for about 7 days now with hopes that I will remove my "mental block" once I turn it back on and attempt to finish him and eventually gut Visari. After that - everything seems pretty cursory.

I've got WipeoutHD, WarHawk, KILLZONE 2 in that order.
Motorstorm 2 is up there too, but that would be cheap for me to say since I have it.
the higher the score for MAG, the less comments from bungie, tatotiburon, alpha-male, joy, kewlkat007, nogolis, etc, etc, yada - yada - yada - blah - blah - blah.

EPIC. FAIL.
I know there are a few ways to bring down buildings (which is so satisfying) but to me there is extra satisfaction in being able to command and wield a tank like an extension of your arm as you clear buildings, objectives, and *snipers out of the way for your squad.
With that said there is also quite a bit of satisfaction to be had in running into the building with said sniper unbeknownst to him, slitting his throat and grabbing his dog tags and sniper rifle in the mix.
